This weekend featured 2 local (to Boston) cyclocross races. Weather was perfect with low temps, sun, and no wind. Great for spectating and heckling.
Saturday, in Londonderry, NH, Velo Cross featured a velodrome track, BMX course, and back double track. Short lap times meant lots of whoops sections on what is the most unique ‘cross course I’ve experienced here in NE. Hopefully this venue will catch on for better participation throughout the multiple races planned for 2011.

Sunday, in Lowell, MA, Shedd Park ‘Cross included soft off camber corners and event announcers who you know and ride with, making for a truly local feeling and well run race. My only issue with the race in the 3/4′s was that the race time was cut a bit short. The winner had a time of ~38 minutes, even though 45 minutes was the race duration. We could have easily completed a 6th lap.
