Verge series 2010 Rounds 5 and 6 were held in Northampton, MA during a break in wet weather. The result was two perfect New England fall days with tacky grass and dirt and ride-able sand. Fields sizes were large especially in the Cat 3-Juniors 15-18 heat. 138 and 127 riders toed the line for Verge Round 5 and 6 respectively.
Sunday’s race:
Saturday’s course featured similar terrain with a steeper run-up and a ride-able two stage sand pit. A pile up at the start allowed myself and others to move up many many places after a comically poor starting position (row ~12 of ~14). sorry, no video here of that mayhem.
