What was the strat of attacking your own guy in the break at this race? That totally made no sense to me. You had a guy represented and yet you drove the peleton hard to over take a break that your guy was in.
Granted you guys swept podium and I’m super impressed. But was just wondering if that was planned.

If we gave the impression we were “driving the peleton hard to catch the break”, that wasn’t our intent. When the break was caught, a group of five riders tried to bridge up. Alarm bells did go off in my head, since danger man Kevin Hayes was making that bridge. However, everything came back together shortly after the group joined the break.
If threshold was on the front, it was to block or to disrupt a chase (not that there was much of an organized chase). Like any good strategy, we had a back up plan.
It was a pretty sweet race by you guys, super jealous. I look forward to competing against you guys threwout the season. Best of luck!
