Michael is a rare creature who successfully straddles the triathlon and cycling communities. Bucking the typical triathlete stereotype as being as unable to handle a bike, he uses the early roadie season to help him peak for later-season triathlons. Having improved upon his Cat 4 placings he used his cycling skills to podium in several local triathlons. A veteran of Ironman and known for his speed on the run he also juggles running two restaurants (one of which is a team sponsor) and being an outstanding dad.
