Training updates:
status: Cautiously optimistic
Sat: 5×2′x45″ power hill repeats. seated. vo2 max power.
Sunday: 2500 kj ride at 61%. super fun and easy ride on a glorious day! (took in 150 cals total, no bonk feelings at all)
This morning: SST. 1×40′ @ 100% (361AP) or 4.2 w/kg. felt good. new CP 30′.
Legs, bike, mind all feeling good… time to taper back a bit after this weekend and make sure I dont push too hard… a challenge when the legs feel so on fire…
that said, I’m gonna keep building up a second “Base” for 2-3 more weeks as I no longer have a stage race coming up. I’m hoping to organize a huge peak for some time mid July and I have a good feeling that I can get to 84 kg in the next 3 weeks hoping that will put my W/kg up around 4.55 or so… and hopefully drop my CDA as well.
Patience is really paying off at the moment. We’ll see where it all goes!!
