BASE3 began…

On newyears day with Matty and Storm kicking my ass with an unrelenting attitude that I needed.  I bitched a lot but felt ok after I stopped being a wussy-boy.

this was supposed to be a recovry week, but after 3 days of recovery (M,Tu,W) and an easy week before, I just started BASE3 early.

Saturday was an epic ride with BB and Rand where they let me kick our colective asses for 3+ hours (something like 255w verage for 3:10)  including long pulls at 290-300 3 hours into the ride.  Nuts.  Hard.  Good.

Endurance work is feeling good.

Sunday was off!

Monday was SST.  Strict 60′ @ 314w.  a new CP60 record with not much suffering at all.  this was on the rollers.

Tuesday was my low cadence hill work over at Summit ave in Brookline (a hill with wich I have a real love/hate relationship).  (3×2′x50″)x3 for 9, 2 minute reps total.  Power was in the 380-400 range or each rep and leg burn/fatigue was pretty high at the 70 RPM that I plug along at.  Not too bad though.

Legs sore enough today to call off any reall work on the bike. But I DID do:

30′ of pretty intense lifting , kettlebells and core work…. lot of explosive moes and planks in the AM and I’llhop on the rollers for 20-30 minutes just to spin out some of the acumulated crap that’s in there.

Tomorrow will be a tough one.  Either a long ride outdoors (weather may not allow this) or some serious sub LT work on the rollers.  3×15′s at 320-330w (not to hard, but hard enough!)
